WElcome to Fire & Fragrance!
We are honored that you are joining us in Kona for DTS. This is a full-time discipleship training school to prepare you for missions, and we ask that you come with a heart that is open and willing for God to break into every area of your life.
Our desire is to raise up students who prioritize the presence of God as the source of everything they do. From this value we want to launch you into the nations to see the lost saved, the sick healed, and communities planted.
What to expect?
Fire and Fragrance teaches on topics such as hearing the voice of God, the character and nature of God, Bible overview, worship and intercession, the supernatural power of God, reaching the lost and much more.
Your weekly schedule will include corporate times of worship and intercession in the prayer room as well as times of deep ministry unto the Lord and to one another. You will be involved in Holy Spirit led outreaches, sharing the gospel of Jesus through words and actions both in the community here in Kona and when you go to the nations on outreach.
You will also be involved in one-on-one discipleship with our staff and your fellow students as we all continue to dive deeper into a life of holiness, integrity, and deep relationships.

YWAM Kona Vaccine Policy
Because DTS is a part of the University of the Nations, our programs fall under Hawaii State vaccination requirements for schools in the islands, which is under the required immunization on the health form. In addition to the Hawaii State requirements, our campus also has a vaccination & preventive medication policy for outreach. Because some outreach teams travel to developing countries with limited medical infrastructure and increased infectious diseases as compared to developed countries like the US, our campus requires students (both adults and children) to complete pertinent vaccinations for their outreach locations, which are the suggested travel immunizations on the health form. The state of Hawaii does offer religious and medical waivers, by submitting a waiver your outreach would be to a more developed nation not working with vulnerable populations. Please email
campushealth@ufonkona.edu for waivers and any questions.
Background Check
You will be receiving an email from “Verified First” titled “Background Questionnaire” before you can arrive, we will need you to complete the check.
