Kona DTS Spring 2012
Vision
DTS VISION:
Fire and Fragrance DTS is designed to raise up students and release them into the nations of the earth to partner with and plant communities prioritizing worship and intercession and allowing it to flow into outreach fueled by the power of God. We desire to see a whole generation raised up across the earth who would walk in an unapologetic Fire for the Presence of God, worship, and intercession that automatically flows into becoming the very Fragrance of Christ to the lost. The presence of God is the source of all strategy and the power that releases effective outreach. God is searching for a generation that would give themselves to the place of intimate communion and whole hearted obedience.
Imagine communities raised up all over the world; closed countries, slums, refugee camps, orphanages, urban centers, university campuses and remote villages; all walking in a dynamic marriage of prayer and missions. Such communities and values have shaped history, and we are in a day where this model of transformation is being released once again!
Training
TRAINING STRATEGY:
During your three-month training you will be taught by mothers, fathers, and young leaders from across the body of Christ. Each of those teaching are living out our YWAM value for doing before teaching. They have authority teach because they are living out what they will be imparting. In addition to incredible teaching, ministry times, and impartation; part of the curriculum of this course will be extended time in worship and intercession in the pioneer house of worship that is being planted at the University of the Nations campus. We will couple this with focused time in our city allowing the gifts of the Spirit and the love of God to flow into practical evangelism and discipleship.
In the first 12 weeks of the school outstanding speakers will teach you how to know God and make Him known:
- The character and nature of God
- Hearing the voice of God
- How to study and communicate God’s Word effectively
- Biblical world view
- Intercession and spiritual warfare
- Worship and prayer
- Restoration of the heart and mind
- Fellowship with the Holy Spirit
- The power of the Holy Spirit
- Revival and reformation
- Missions and evangelism
Outreach Phase
Outreach Phase
After your dynamic and life giving training phase, you will be sent on an outreach to put into practice all that you have received and learned. These outreaches will be sent all over the world to partner with local ministries and churches to walk out this marriage of prayer and mission. The context and expression of both prayer and mission will be unique to the location though the values and principles will remain the same. In a spirit of humility and boldness we seek to stir up these regions with fresh faith for what God desires to do.
Outreach locations will be announced within the first two weeks of school! Some of our committed locations are Nepal, Cambodia, Japan, USA, Turkey, Netherlands, Mozambique and South Africa.
Upon completing your DTS there are many opportunities to do further training, join staff at one of many locations or join the Fire and Fragrance Leadership Track to be trained to be a part of a pioneer community in the nations.

School Leaders
Meet your School Leaders!
Aaron and Ronda have been working in full-time ministry since 1997 when they helped plant a church in Washington State where Aaron worked as the worship pastor for 12 years. Aaron is a passionate worship leader and songwriter and has produced several worship albums through their church that are independently distributed. They joined YWAM in 2009 to continue pursuing the Lord and their heart for the nations with their three children (Jacob, Ariel, and Hailey). They have a huge passion to see young people raised up, filled with faith and revival fire to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth! Aaron and Ronda believe that what God is doing across the earth right now in bringing together prayer and missions is crucial if we are going to see the nations transformed through the love and power of our God. The Barkers are passionate about family and want to see presence centered communities planted all over the world to see God’s glory increase in our generation!
